Sun & Moon Puzzle is a free logic puzzle you play in your browser. This page explains what data the game handles, why it is needed, and what choices you have. It is short because the game collects very little.

What we collect

• Display name and country — only what you type or pick yourself. Nothing is verified, so a nickname is perfectly fine.
• Game results — scores, solve times, level reached and day streak, so the leaderboard can be ranked.
• An anonymous account ID — created by Firebase Anonymous Authentication so your progress can follow you. It is not linked to an email address or a real identity.
• Technical data — your browser sends an IP address and a user-agent string to our providers whenever the game connects to them. This is standard for any website.

What we never collect

We never ask for your email address, phone number, real name, precise location, contacts, photos or payment details. There is no sign-up form, and the entire game can be played without ever connecting to our servers.

Data stored on your device

Your progress, settings, chosen language, theme and sound preference are kept in your browser's local storage. That data stays on your device and we cannot read it. Clearing your browser data removes it permanently.

Third-party services

• Firebase Authentication and Cloud Firestore — store anonymous profiles and leaderboard entries.
• Google Analytics — aggregated, anonymous usage statistics that show us which features people actually use.
• Google AdSense — serves the advertising that keeps the game free.

Each provider processes that data under its own privacy policy.

Advertising and cookies

Third-party vendors, including Google, use cookies to serve ads based on your previous visits to this and other websites. Google's use of advertising cookies allows it and its partners to show you ads based on those visits. You can turn off personalised advertising in Google Ads Settings, or opt out of other vendors at aboutads.info.

If you are in the EEA, the UK or Switzerland, a consent message appears before any personalised advertising or non-essential cookie is used. You can change that choice at any time from the link in the message.

Children

The game is suitable for all ages, but it is not directed at children under 13 and we do not knowingly collect personal data from them. If you believe a child has entered personal information as a display name, write to us and we will remove it.

Your rights and how long we keep data

Depending on where you live you may have the right to access, correct, export or delete the data we hold. Because we hold so little, most requests are handled quickly. You can change your display name and country at any time under Settings → Profile, and you can ask us to delete your leaderboard entry entirely. Daily-challenge results older than 90 days are removed automatically; deletion requests are completed within 30 days.

Changes to this policy

If this policy changes, the date at the top of the page changes with it. Anything significant will also be announced inside the game.
